Many firms use the DMAIC (define, measure, analyze, improve, and control) quality method to enhance processes. While the method was created as part of the Six Sigma programme, it has since become a commonly used quality improvement procedure.

1 🖊️ Define

Identify the problem or goal that your group is attempting to achieve. Look for a fault with an existing procedure that is more obvious. Provide as much detail as you can.

2 📏 Measure

Identify critical indicators that you are able to monitor and that will indicator if you are accomplishing your goals. Figure out how you’re going to measure the project or problem after you’ve defined it. How will you know if you’ve accomplished your goal?

3 📈 Analyze

Collect and evaluate your data after you’ve selected the metrics you’ll need. The goal of this phase is to figure out what’s causing the problem.

4🚀 Improve

Prioritize root causes or key process inputs to investigate, and identify how process inputs affect process outputs.

5🎮 Control

Examine the outcomes and double-check that the chosen approach has no negative repercussions. You may need to go back to the Measure or Analyze phases if you discover potential repercussions.
